I have been selling natural stone to masonry, landscape and general contractors for 12 years. Many factors go into finding the right stone for each project and this is where my experience comes into place. I have traveled to many quarries across the United States, which gives me the competitive edge and knowledge I need to identify the perfect stones to create and complete a job to perfection and most importantly, the satisfaction of the customer… which to me is the most important part of my job.
In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors. I love spending my time camping, fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles with my loving wife and our four wonderful boys.
Shane Fernandes
I was raised in Ceres Ca. where I attended Ceres High School. I then attended Modesto Junior College where I received my Associates of Science Degree and finishing my education at Stanislaus State in Turlock, CA. It was in college when I realized my ability to work with those in construction would seem a better fit for me than a simple degree upon a wall. I worked for the majority of my young adult life in construction supply retail, and then went on to manage several different departments for a large local pool builder. I came to work for Valley Natural Stone in the summer of 2008. I had never held a position of outside sales, but found a natural fit for sales. I was also very pleased to find that Valley Natural Stone brought both a new style of business to and aging stone market in the valley and put a huge precedence on service. As our area became busy in construction in the last decade, I believe servicing customers had lost its importance. We are confident at Valley Natural Stone that you will feel the difference in customer service the first time (and every time) you work with us.
These day’s my time is mostly spent outdoors. I am an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoy hiking and backpacking our beautiful Northern California region. I have been married to Marina, my wonderful wife of fifteen years. I have been very fortunate to meet some very skilled contractors in our valley over the years, and look forward to servicing these long standing relationships for years to come.
